First musical influences took place at an early age while attending a
special music-grade in the 21 Secondary school in Tallinn.
Unfortunately due to a strong interest in sports, music stayed in the
background until it was re-found in the few years spent in college in
the USA. Coming back from America, many old friends had taken over the
rnb dj scene in Estonia, led by the distinguished Dj Quest. Also the
first acquaintance was formed with the legendary Dj Defkut. Close
observation and dedication and sometimes even experimentation of the
techniques used by these dj-s led to a greater interest in the art of
Dj-ing. It ended up literally with a wager between mvp and Dj Tsr the
head of Insomniac Records who at that time was hosting a small event
called Öötöö at an even smaller club called Võit. The set wich was
performed by using borrowed records and a few original CD-s got a very
positive reaction, and was the steppingstone of a very quick
evolvement into the Dj Mvp we know today. A lot of influence came from
the close friends standing by - Dj Defkut, who was the one to take Mvp
to all of the Ice Kriims and also invest in him on many different
accounts, Dj Möls who didn't mind having a young dj fill the first
hour of Sounds Of HipHop every month in Tartu, and Dj Quest without
whom the name Dj MVP would have never seen the light of day.
Collaboration with recording-artist Lowry led to a warm-up performance
at the Rihanna concert in 2008 in front of close to 6000 people. Also
in that same year Mvp got a chance to warm up artists like Snoop Dogg
and Busta Rhymes.
Currently you can find Mvp as a resident at a brand new club in
Tallinn, also the first one with Funktion One soundsystems - Studio. .
Also in many other Estonian and Finnish clubs as a guest-dj for RnB
and Hip-hop related events.
